Sphere plates
The Sphere holder forms a unit with the sleeves and the whirl spring. The usual setting of the springs is no longer necessary. The drivers for the third axis of rotation are inside the sphere plate. This protects from plasma and coating material. It achieves a high level of reliability and service life. Even in very high PVD systems, all drivers need to be always precisely positioned.
Unlike Colt plates, the outer circumference of Sphere plates increases when longer tools are loaded.Therefore, the maximum tool length must be taken into account when making the selection.
