Sphere Adaptors
Since the axle (tree rod) must not rotate with the Sphere system, special adapters are required for all coating systems. The adapters fit with the underside on the planetary plates of your substrate tables. The 10 x 10 mm square bar (tree pole) is stored in the adapter and is held in place by a torque arm. The complete tree can be transported and stored with the Sphere Adapter.
The dimensions of many coating systems are known and the adapters have been tried and tested. Adapters for other systems can be made if the dimensions of the rotating planetary shaft and the height of the coating zone and the geometry at the top of the coating towers are known.
Sphere plates of the same size can be stacked directly on top of one another and are then automatically centered and non-rotatably connected to one another. Sphere plates of different sizes can be placed on top of each other with an adapter plate. The plate with fewer spaces must always be placed above the plate with more spaces.
