The spring clip 2 is placed as a completion over the last spacer sleeve and secures the substrates against falling. It also improves the electrical contact. It can be assembled by hand or with conventional snap ring pliers. When delivered, it fits on 2mm rods, but adjusts itself to larger skewers once it has been assembled and can be bent back again and again.
