Colt

Colt

Colt Fixtures provide high flexibility for  rotating substrates, which have to be coated on the circumference and on the tip (Drills, Mills, Punches, Typs, Reamer, Counter sinks, etc.).

As the substrates rotate parallel to the evaporator sources, they will receive homogenous coating around the circumference and coating on the tip. Colt is the ideal fixture system for job coating with lot of mixed batches.

Colt Plates

Colt Plates

Colt Plates are made of a carrier plate with a central interface hole for your PVD planet shanks and with holes for the bearing pins on an outer circle. The carrier plate is made of stainless steel, the bearing pins are of 100 Cr 6 coated with MoS2.

Colt Sleeves

Colt Sleeves

Colt sleeves are for substrates with cylindrical shank. All Colt sleeves are equipped with a coarse set of teeth at the bottom end which can be driven by kicker springs. Also Colt sleeves usually have a 6,2mm dead hole at the bottom end for the bearing pin.

Extensions

Extensions

With Extensions the Colt sleeves can be extended in steps of 10mm. With this the utilization of your PVD furnace is improeved, as Colt sleeves do not necessarily be chosen for the longest possible shanks.

Spacer

Spacer

With these the distance between the levels of colt (or Boxer) plates is set up. The tubes of different length can be combined and stacked to reach the desired distance. There are various inner and outer diameters available. Please note: The inner diameter should have at least 1mm gap to the planetary shank. Smaller gaps may lead to sticking, much higher gap may cause that the spacer tubes are not centered properly and the plates tilt.
